UNDER THE HOOD

Now that the Metastructure of MUTATOR28 has been explained it will be possible to look under "thehood" of MUTATOR28 and see how it works. thehood sits just below the top-level patch, which holds all the other sub-patches. Joined together these sub-patches make-up the innerworkings of MUTATOR28.

The sub-patches of thehood can be divided-up in to four stages, which somewhat correspond to the Metastructure described on the previous page: the initialization stage, the reproduction stage, the selector stage, and the video processing stage. A start/stop command and 7 video outputs (one for each generation) are the only ways that thehood interfaces with the top-level patch.
