Voice: Linda O’Halloran
Assail The Neoteric Discourse is an interpretation of a poem that explores the levels of intimacy found in the space between whispered, spoken, and sung text. The piece is based on an ensemble piece for SATB and Pierrot Ensemble with the same name. The vocal parts were reworked so that the solo performer, Linda O’Halloran, could sing all of the parts. Although many elements are taken from the original score, this work is only loosely based on the original. The text is from a collection of poetry written by the composer several years ago titled, Collision. |
